A fun and funky Halloween-style table topper featuring a sweet sugar skull. Minimal sewing involved, the design is created using fusible web.

If you love fabric and sewing, and applique but don’t have the time, skills or patience to create lots of perfect applique edges, then you’ll love this pattern. Created using fusible web, the pieces are traced onto the paper, cut out and fused in place with an iron to create the intricate looking design for this sugar skull table topper and centerpiece. Then some simple quilting, a binding around the edge and you are done!

You will need:

  • Batting
  • Fusible web – such as Heat N Bond
  • Fabric scraps of your choice
  • Fabric for backing and binding
