DIY Nebula Jar Instructions

Step 1. Fill your plastic cups with water. The amount of cups you use will depends of how many colors you are using. We recommend 4 different colors.

Step 2. Mix 2 teaspoons of paint into the water, a different color in each cup of water. You may need to use a little more paint depending on the brand that you are using. you want the color of the water to be quite vibrant.

Step 3. Fluff out your cotton balls and place a thick layer on the bottom of your mason jar.

Step 4. Next, add a decent amount of glitter to the jar. Around 2 tablespoons is a good amount.

Step 5. Then pour some of your first color of water into the mason jar. You should pour enough so that the cotton balls are completely soaked.

Pour in some glitter. Use your wooden skewer to gently mix the glitter in.

Step 6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 with all of your colors until the jar is full.

Step 7. Your nebula jar is complete. Seal the lid on tightly.

If you are not planning on using the jar again, you can place a small amount of gorilla glue on the inside rim of lid before screwing it back on.

This way you can avoid any accidental spillages, especially when there are curious children around.
